Nominate Herdsires for The Futurity

Nominate your finest males and enter their progeny in The Futurity Show 2012. Nominating your herd sire for The Futurity makes all of his 6 to 36 month old offspring eligible for the show, and entitles you to 30% of the winnings of all those offspring!

Remember, a Herd Sire pledge is simply a promise to nominate your sire should any of his offspring actually be entered in the show.  If there are no offspring are entered in the show, you will not be charged, but your herd sire will still be listed online and in the sale catalog (if pledged by the pubication deadline).  If there are offspring entered for your sire, you will not be charged until after The Futurity closes on March 31st.

Save money and nominate early.

Select your finest young alpacas and enter them in The Futurity Show.

The Small Breeder Challenge is an AOBA sanctioned show, specifically for farms with 20 or fewer ARI registered females. (Male alpacas do not count toward breeder size.)

The show allows smaller farms to compete strictly against farms with similar resources. The show concept may best be analogized to high school or college sports, where schools with smaller numbers of students play in a different division than much larger ones. It does not mean that the education is of less quality, the games less entertaining, or the competition less fierce. It simply gives schools the opportunity to compete against other schools with comparatively similar resources.

We are very excited about this new show, and hope many breeders falling into the eligible size category will make plans to compete. Helen Humphreys will be the judge for the The Small Breeders Challenge.
